Homeschool Preparation

My kids are in public school this year, but we will be homeschooling starting in fall of '07, so I am starting to make my wishlist and get things organized and ready. (I have homeschooled in the past, but I decided to take this year off, as I knew we would be moving, so I put the kids in public school this year.)
I love educational materials! I could spend tons of money on them! Today I went on a shopping trip for a few things to keep my little ones busy while I am working with my older kids. I came home with a color wheel circle puzzle from PBKids, a subtraction puzzle, stacking cups, and some abc books. I saw a lot of other things that I would love, but won't buy since we are on a budget. Everything looks beautiful presented on our new IKEA shelves. I will try to post some photos of our school room soon.

Introduction

Well, I have been an avid blog reader for a couple of years now, and I have decided that I would like to organize all of my thoughts and ideas into one place. So here I am. MomofSix was taken, as was MITMom, so I have become MITMomofSix, which actually is an accurate representation of who I am. A little bit about me...I graduated in Chemistry from MIT in '94, started a computer software company with my husband in '94, and had my first child (dd13) in '94. I worked from home until my 3rd child was born and then decided to spend all of my time at home with my children while they were young. I have 4 daughters and 2 sons, ranging in age from 2 to 13.
